We recommend that you rent bicycles and cycle up the coast - awesome! Cal Pep - a superb tapas bar. Pappabubble sweet shop is quite an experience seeing them make the sweets and the actual sweets themselves are just yummy - very moreísh."

"Delightful and very well appointed apartment in a seriously groovy part of town - great access to everywhere and more cool eateries and drinkeries than you can shake a stick at! Staff were very attentive. Much better than a hotel for a weekend break. Try The White Bar in Born (Calle della Princesa, I think)- very cool with UV-type lighting. El Passadis del Pep (Placa de Palau) was a fantastic restaurant literally tucked away at the end of what appeared to be a residential corridor off the square. Degustacion menu was plentiful, but more importantly, each course was introduced by the obviously-proud waiter as if it were one of his own children. The langoustines in onions were an unexpected triumph, and the sea bass to follow (as if there was room) was the most delicately-flavoured and perfectly prepared dish we have had for along time. "

"My husband and I returned from a 17 day stay in Spain. Our first 10 days were in one of the Into Barcelona apartments in El Born. We had absolutely a fabulous time thanks to your company! From the beginning (emails w/Carrie) to the end we were totally satisfied. We loved our apartment (very large by Eurorean standards, I thought), loved the neighborhood, loved Barcelona. The staff downstairs were also very sweet. We think renting an apartment is the way to go! We also moved on to two hotel, one in Barcelona and one in Sitges and had good experiences, but not as sweet and personal. Thank you so much for offering this opportunity to us. We will be back in touch with you, for we are already thinking about our return!"

"Our apartment was very cute and in a great location in the Born district. The stairway leading up to the apartment are very narrow but it was worth it once we discovered the rooftop terrace above our apartment. It was great having a little kitchenette and seating area. The only complaint I have is the bed was small (full size) for two people and uncomfortable. But overall I am was very pleased with the apartment and I couldn't have asked for a better location. "

"Loved the apartment. It's a great size and has a lovely little balcony to sit and watch the world go by. It is situated in a perfect spot in a fantastic part of Barcelona. Ideal for some lovely bars and restaurants and not too far from all the attractions. Wouldn't bother booking the breakfast though - we had a problem actually getting it and when it did arrive it wasn't very exciting. There are plenty of places nearby so I would recommend eating out or bringing something back from the nearest take away."

"Nice appartment in with a very small bathroom, but clean. The kitchen is complete and the bed and couch comfortable. It's the area that really made our stay great. I have visited Barcelona several times in the past years, staying in hotels in Eixample and Ramblas, but this is really the best place of all! Lively, lots of good restaurants and interesting shops and walking distance from all central tourist attractions and the beach. "

"Staff were extremenly welcoming, friendly and helpful, any enquiry no matter how small was dealt with good grace. The apartment was well maintained, very comfortable and well equipped. A small request would be a supply of additional kitchen appliances to aid the self catering option eg: chopping board, colander. I would recommend future guests consider a visit to Cuines Santa Caterina, at the Santa Caterina market from where all products used are sourced. The restuarant is relaxed and informal serving an eclectic range of delicious meals. The market is also well worth a wander around."

My boyfriend and I loved our room. The location was perfect in the very trendy and chic El Born district. Cute cafe's and boutique shopping right outside your door and walking distance to La Ramblas. The room is clean with modern mimimalist decor, and so much larger than if we stayed at a hotel--not to mention so much more affordable. Internet access is available in the apt which was useful if you bring your own laptop. If not, the office is cool with you using their computer. They were great and so helpful. Would recommend to anyone especially if you're more of an independent traveler (i.e. don't need cabs hailed down for you, concierge services, etc.)"

"Upon arrival we were so surprised at how beautiful the apartment was. It was larger than my apartment in NY and fit the five of us just perfect. The downtown loaction was awesome and allowed for easy walking to many of the cities tourists attractions. There are many resturaunts within the vicinity - be ready to eat late as the neighborhood doesn't start night life till around 10:00pm. The staff was friendly and helpful. Be sure to make transfers if you can - otherwise you will need to take taxi's - and be sure to build extra time into your return to the airport! Overall our experience was great and we look forward to booking our next trip. "

"Fantastic, will never stay in a hotel again when I can at all manage it. Excellent location to explore Barcelona properly (shamefully a revelation after ten years visiting the city by sea) -The people at the into-barcelona office simply lovely and very welcoming, instantly felt embraced as part of a small and vibrant community. El- born; Hip rubs shoulders happilly with Traditional. Apartment perfect, excellently equipped, right down to scissors in the drawer, fresh coffee in the cupboard, washing machine and a great stereo. The decor was Habitat/ Ikea chic and minimal, and the first time I've stayed in such a place and not felt compelled to hide half the extraneous clutter in the wardrobe. Three balconies were just too good to be true, and flooded the place, right to the top of its high beamed ceilings, with airy light and the lovely babble of mediterranean ambience. The information supplied by into-barca. on el born and environ, was topical, chatty and invaluable. Advice; -steer clear of the Ramblas, head to el born, and enjoy. Wish I'd booked for longer!"

"Thanks for running this site: it's brilliant! We had a great time & it was a pleasure staying in the Into Barcelona apartment. The apartment is not very fancy but it was great to stay in, very comfortable, clean & a great location. For a week we could pretend that we actually lived in Barcelona. The kitchen was fairly well supplied (it could use a corkscrew) so some times we'd make a meal or snack "at home." Since my partner was at a conference & I also had work to do having this much space was far better than staying in a hotel. Everybody that we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. They lent us a guide book for our stay and had excellent suggestions when we needed advice. They helped us with converters for the computer & helped get things set up. The location is really unbeatable: to walk out the door and be right in the middle of such a vibrant neighborhood with so much else including the waterfront right within walking distance. Things could be a little noisy at night but considering the busy- ness neighborhood, really not very bad at all. There was a great map of the area in the apartment with suggestions for food, groceries, etc all right at hand. Great chocolate shop two streets away called Xocoa. "
