Compared
to the UK, Barcelona is warm all year round. Summers can be pretty
hot (30-40ºC) but given the accessibility of the city's beaches,
parks, and watering holes, it's never too difficult to find a
place to cool off.
In the
spring and autumn months short-sleeves can be comfortably worn
both during the daytime and evening. And, because Barcelona
is such an outdoors city, cafe and restaurant terraces are often
packed with people taking in the winter sunshine up to and beyond
Christmas.

When
booking your flights,
you'll find the cheapest fares are outside the UK's busiest holiday
months. So if you want to keep costs down, avoid the year's obvious
getaways such as half-term holidays, Easter and New Year.
Barcelona
is also host to numerous cultural and sporting events and these
tend to inflate costs slightly and limit availability. Events
to be aware of include the Spanish Grand Prix, the World Motorcycling
Championships and various festivals and holidays.
